The Creative New Media can get your Web Site digitally signed by Verisign, Inc. Digital ID's can be used for a variety of electronic transactions including e-mail, electronic commerce, groupware and electronic funds transfers.
When a person sends private information such as credit info, account numbers, etc... to Creative NewMedia's Secure Server, the data is encrypted as it travels from that person's computer to CNM's Server. This ensures that the data is being transmitted without the risk of being intercepted by an outside party.
Digital IDs can also be seen as the electronic counterparts to driver's licenses, passports, and membership cards. The reason for this is that they electronically prove the identity of the party to which the data is being transferred to.
